2024 COMPARE CLUB

SITUATION

Established a new department specializing in lead generation and sales for mortgages, home loans, and broker services.


ACTIONS COMPLETED

Consistently surpassed KPIs by increasing daily lead generation from 1 to 7, while fostering strong rapport with customers and consistently delivering high-quality leads.


Provided comprehensive training and mentorship to onboard new team members, and developed new processes, training materials, knowledge bases, and guides to enhance team performance.


1. New Script Writing

Developed and refined a novel lead generation script through rigorous testing and iterative improvements.


2. Training Material

I developed and documented streamlined processes for lead transfer, ensuring clarity and efficiency in the handover process.

Additionally, I conducted comprehensive training sessions for new team members joining the Sales floor, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.

SITUATION

Remotely managed a team of five designers within the five remote product teams consisting of PO, BA, Programmers, Designer, QA.


ACTIONS COMPLETED

These made major changes to end to end product cycle saving the company a lot of time and money.


1. DESIGN PROCESS

I designed and implemented an efficient design process.

Equipping with this new design process, this allowed the designers to solve all the problems in the beginning using user journey and IA along with working in low fi mockups, before jumping into hi fi mockups.


2. DESIGN CONSISTENCY

Using the design system and design patterns to define the design decisions more confidently and work quickly in signed of High Fidelity Mockups.


3. GOT THE TEAM INVOLVED

Ran weekly Friday afternoon Figma workshops to connect the remote team and create confidence and one team working together. Got the team involved in building the design system together and updating regularly documenting and retaining knowledge, and keeping version control up to date.


3. SHOWED THE WORLD

Created a fortnightly design showcase where the designers presented to all of the teams showcasing what they had been working on and completed and what was coming up. This was so any corresponding actions may affect the design or interaction with other modules within the five team builds.


4. BUILT AN EFFEICIENT DESIGN SYSTEM

Cleaned up and created a design system card as a new resource. Created value to the design system and created a why, it was important it was to be kept updated and clean.

  • Built a 400-page plus intranet for the Harcourts Network across New Zealand and Australia


Inspired, trained and worked with a team of 27 departments international


Trained, inspired and motivated heads of the 27 departments globally driving the content for this international intranet over three countries.


  • As the only person on the project both as Technical Lead and Product Lead I developed their new intranet.
  • Worked with the Executives and Stakeholders, I also project managed and brought in creative ideas and elements working heavily with Human Centered Design. principles


Successfully Launched out to the network of 6000 agents.

Designed high-impact, user-centered website to maximize user engagement & cement powerful brand identities.

Ran a special small business competition campaign.


2013 – 2015 FOUNDER – Head of Product


OVERVIEW:

Smooth Operator – started about as an idea for a coffee ordering application in 2013 I wanted to create a software that would be able to help homeless people, with the idea of rounding of totals and passing on food wastage.

Upon extensive review it was found that the customers needed a better POS system to use.


Every restaurant and cafe owner complained about how inefficient their POS was and out dated and how it didn't mee their needs . As the current POS systems was not living up to the fast environments and financial data needs of cafes and restaurants.



The Tech

Led a focused team of 3 developers in agile, iterative development based on qualitative user research and analytics.

Developed a working prototype of the Smooth Operator system, which consisted of a 33 screen plus user interfaces .


2017 Designer – Head of Product


OVERVIEW: I was employed by Nightlife to design a remote control, for their music software systems in there venues

At the time I employed a team of three programmers who were working on the SaaS product I was developing,


As Lead Product Designer and UX designer I led the UX research, user journeys, and wireframes to map out this controller, with my Technical Lead Programmer joining me on meetings and scoping out the technical solutions


The Tech

Managed a focused team of 3 developers in agile, iterative development based on qualitative user research and analytics.

Developed a working prototype of the a remote controller, which consisted of MVP basic functions for volume control and change of songs – flick through like spotify.
